Auto body repair can be a big headache, especially if you’ve been in a collision.

By learning more about what to do and what to expect when your vehicle needs body repair and/or repainting, you’ll make better decisions and have fewer headaches.

WHEN DO YOU NEED BODY REPAIR?

First, if you’ve just been in an accident, please visit “What to do if You’re in a Car Accident”.

But being in an accident isn’t the only time you’ll need to visit an auto body shop.

Over time, your car’s body and bumpers can suffer small dents and scratches that, by themselves, do not need repair, but together they affect the value, look and your enjoyment of the vehicle. They can also affect the assessment of your car for a lease return.

At other times, you may return to your car in a parking lot and notice it’s been hit, or you inadvertently strike a wall or post while parking. Rust is also a problem that can only be fixed with body work.

In all these cases, good body repair and painting will restore your car’s looks and value, and ensure that it is safe to drive.
